We are looking for a doctorate candidate for the Marie Sklodowska – Curie Doctorate Network (MSCA-DN-2021).

The title of the project: AI-based methods of recognition and quantification of breast cancer infiltrating lymphocytes in the tumor microenvironment and the WSI color standarization method.
This is a part of the MSCA project: A comprehensive CAD system based on radiologic- and pathologic-image biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer relapse

Ph.D. student/employee will work on this project at IBBE in Warsaw. The project is created in cooperation with ten institutions/contractors of the project from 7 European Union countries, employing one doctoral student each. Ph.D. student/employee responsibility will be to analyze the pathological image using the AI method and to study the correlation between the features obtained from such images and the symptoms or features collected from the diagnostic data of patients with breast cancer. This requires the development of a method of color standardization at the WSI in order to adapt the images from the consortium members implementing the project. The Ph.D. student is required to be involved in the work of the consortium so that the expected synergy effect supports the group in developing a CAD system for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
