From 16–18 June 2025 in Warsaw, ICB is co-organizing the international scientific conference Joint 20th Nordic-Baltic Conference on Biomedical Engineering & 24th Polish Conference on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering.
NBC 2025 & PCBBE 2025 is a combination of two international scientific conferences of global scope, namely the Nordic-Baltic Conference on Biomedical Engineering (NBC), whose rights are held by the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering, and the Polish Conference on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering (PCBBE), whose organization has been coordinated since its first edition by the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (KBiIB PAN).
The main objective of the conference is to present the latest achievements of scientists from Poland and other regions of the world in the field of biomedical engineering as an interdisciplinary research area. The conference focuses on a wide range of subdisciplines of biomedical engineering; in particular, it will showcase achievements concerning artificial and bioartificial organs, artificial intelligence in healthcare, supporting technologies and rehabilitation engineering, biochemical engineering, bioinformatics, biomaterials, biomedical measurements, biomechanics, and biomedical robotics. Other important areas include education in biomedical engineering, biomedical sensors and instruments, processing of biomedical signals, cellular and molecular engineering, clinical engineering, medical technology assessment, transfer and commercialization of healthcare technologies, fusion of medical images, teleinformatics technologies in medicine, the Internet of Medical Things, processing of medical images, modeling of physiological and biological systems, nanotechnology and nanomedicine, neural engineering, neuroinformatics, orthopedic engineering, prosthetics, regenerative medicine, surgical techniques, as well as tissue engineering and organs-on-a-chip.
