Description of tasks in the project:
The position is intended for a person with a PhD in medical sciences, who will become a part of the research team implementing a project on simulation research in the ventilator-artificial lung system. The aim of the project is to develop a method of optimal lung ventilation that would minimize the risk of ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI). Since the problem of selecting ventilation parameters that minimizes the risk of VILI is still unresolved and cannot be resolved quickly and easily based only on the results of clinical trials (for ethical reasons), we are planning model studies to simulate the dynamics of ventilation in the ventilator-artificial lung system.
The basic tasks of a post doc in a project are:
• participation in organizing, planning and conducting simulation tests in the ventilator-artificial patient system,
• support for the project manager in preparing annual and final reports, participation in supervising the work of a doctoral student - mentoring a less experienced colleague,
• participation in the analysis and medical interpretation of the results of simulation tests and participation in the preparation of publications and conference speeches, as well as information materials and their dissemination,
• participation in planning further clinical and/or experimental studies using the project results
